Identify two reasons why a 'gender division of labour' continues to exist among many couples.?

Although legally there should be wage equality where males and females are doing the same work, the truth is we are still a long way short of that ideal. In practise males are generally the higher wage earners so many women choose to stay at home and undertake the bulk of the domestic work.





I believe that attention should be paid to advertisements for, say, toilet cleaners, where invariably women are shown with bottle or spray in hand. These images implant in the minds of young girls the idea that domestic work is to be their preordained role in life.
